Healthier Pets Start with Food
At Pet Planet, we believe that a happier life starts with healthier pets. And healthier pets start with food.
Almost Raw
Dehydrated foods have had the moisture removed, leaving the food free of artificial preservatives and with nutrients and enzymes intact.
Freeze-dried foods are placed in a vacuum chamber that lowers the temperature to below freezing, then the moisture is drawn out as the temperature is slowly raised.
Has Anyone Ever Explained the Differences in Pet Food to You?
This is a question our Ambassadors ask in our stores. Safety, ingredients, manufacturing processes, recall history, and price are all factors that we take very seriously when defining which products fit our trust profile.
Making Mealtime Fun
Rotational feeding means feeding our pets a variety of foods rather than the same food all the time.
By varying our pet’s diet, with healthy pet food, they get to enjoy a wide range of essential nutrients which may help to reduce the chance of developing food related allergies and sensitivities.
How Do I Start a Rotational Diet?
There are two ways you can try a rotational diet:
The first is to consider the different food “types” in your pet’s feeding routine.
Try adding raw or almost raw to your pet’s kibble! Remember to balance the amount of food, so your pet isn’t getting more calories than they should be.
The second is to try switching up the protein of your pet’s food.
Switch up the protein within the brand you feed, regardless of the food type.
Consider one of these great brands available at Pet Planet!
Price Matters
We understand the high cost of keeping our pets happy and healthy.
Our promise is to help you make the best decisions for your pet, whether you are managing a tight monthly budget, or for those times that you have a little extra for something special.
We are here. Every day.
Let Us Help You Find Quality Foods
What to look for when looking at the ingredient panel on a bag of pet food.
Remember, ingredients are listed in order, by weight.
Meat. Meat. More meat. NAMED meat. Look for ingredients like “lamb meal”. These should be the top ingredients listed.
Look for purposeful carbs like sweet potatoes, lentils, and peas. But not before the main meat inclusions!
